What an unbelievably awesome rehearsal!!!  We are so proud of our young lions, hyenas, and assorted pride land animals. Below is a ton of very important information.  Please read carefully.

 

TICKETS

Once again, all ticket purchasing will be handled through the online system.  You will be able to select your seats, pay online with a credit card, and print out your receipt/ticket confirmation (which will serve as your ticket on the day of the show). Ticket sales will open online this Thursday, 2/11  in the very early morning. The school community will be emailed this link in the afternoon, which will enable cast members and their families to purchase tickets in the morning before the whole school community has this link. STAR WALL

We are once again going to be creating a STAR WALL to feature our amazing young thespians. On Sunday February 21^st please send in a 4x6, 5x7, or 8x10 head shot/school picture/close up photo of your child (only your child in the picture please), with their name and grade printed on BOTH the back of the picture and the envelope you submit it in. 

 

Volunteers

In order to pull off the amazing show and help our young thespians shine, we need your assistance.  There are many spots still available, and we need everyone’s help.

COSTUME SIZING FORM (MIDDLE SCHOOL CAST ONLY)
All middle school cast members (not crew) must fill out the sizing form that is on the blog so that we have the information for your costume creation. 

 

DURING REHEARSAL DELIVERIES

If you need to bring lunch, shoes, a sweater, or beverage to a cast or crew member during a rehearsal,  please sue the drop off table near the entrance door.  Here you will find paper to write the students name, and our crew monitor this table and will make sure of delivery.  We are trying to maximize the efficiency of rehearsal time, and this is a great aid to that effort.

Lion King Jr. Shirts

Shirts will be passed out in homerooms (lower school) and study halls (middle school) on Thursday, February 18th. Students are invited to wear their Lion King shirts as uniforms during tech week and the run of the show (Monday March 14^th – Tuesday March 22^nd).

 

PIZZA LUNCH!

Sunday, February 21^st we will begin selling pizza for any cast or crew member staying until or after 1:00.  On the 21^st this will be all 3rd grades- 8th graders who will be able to purchase pizza for $1.50 per slice if they so choose. If you do not wish to purchase pizza, please pack a lunch!

 

M-2 will have this opportunity as well beginning February 28^th, when we sell to the whole cast and crew.

 

WHAT IS EACH CAST MEMBER RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING FOR THE SHOWS?

Please be on the lookout for an email to come from Kendrick in the next few days with the information you will need to know in terms of shoes, socks, pants…etc for your children.

Pride Land Update

Dear Lion King Thespians,

Rehearsals Schedule for this Sunday

We are looking forward to a great first rehearsal with the full cast together this Sunday.

What do I need to bring to Sunday rehearsals?

·         All students should bring a water bottle.

·         Middle School cast and crew should pack a lunch and drink for Sunday (starting February 21st we will have pizza available for those that wish to purchase lunch).

·         Please bring a sweater/sweatshirt as it is sometimes cool in the gym. Make sure your sweater is labeled.

·         Athletic or character shoes (no boots or open toe shoes)

·         Snacks will be provided for all cast and crew. (Please remember snacks are provided only on Sunday rehearsals, all participants are encouraged to pack and bring a snack during the weekday rehearsals (T,W, TH rehearsals).

Where do I go and how do I pick up from a Sunday rehearsals?

·         Drop off begins at 15 minutes before call time. If you arrive before these times, please have your student wait with you in your car as we are setting up the rehearsal spaces and have no supervision available for the children before this time.

·         The entrance for play rehearsal at the middle school is located around the back of the school at the gym doors by the playing field. Please take the side stairwell of the school by the playing field down to the gym doors located at the back of the school.

·         Should you arrive more than 10 minutes after call time or need to pick up early, you will need to come around to the back of the gym, to pick up your child and sign your child out.

·         For Sunday pick up you will not need to leave your cars, as we will come up to the carpool lane for carpool as a group. Please form a single file line in our carpool lane for pick up.

Reminders for Crew regarding crew attendance and crew schedule :

Crew attends ALL Sunday rehearsals beginning on January 10, 2016 for any duration of the day they can attend and work productively.  

§Crew are REQUIRED to attend the first read through in December and ALL rehearsals the two weeks prior to the opening of the show plus the show performances (if on running crew) and strike. These dates are MARCH 1-MARCH 22.

§Crew may also choose to help at and attend any of the weekly (T/TH) rehearsals but these are optional and not required. Please refer to the MS schedule for times/dates of rehearsals.

There is no LS rehearsal scheduled for this afternoon. Our next LS rehearsal is in January the week get back to school!

Tomorrow's (Thursday's) afternoon MS rehearsal has been cancelled so that students may study for midterms. NO THURSDAY REHEARSAL THIS WEEK!

Sunday rehearsals begin on January 10th!
